"γνῶθι σαυτόν" = "To know one self", was one of the three inscriptions on the temple of Apollon at Delphi.
Education is essential for personal and societal development, as it helps individuals to better understand themselves and the world around them, acquiring knowledge, skills and values to advance in life.
The pursuit of gnosis is a path to spiritual liberation; knowledge gained through direct experience of personal exploration and discovery, a cultivation of inner awareness and connection with the divine.
Through a variety of multi dimensional processes, our team of expert educators, facilitate and encompass the mental, physical, and emotional transformation of our participants; planting the seed of change we want to see in the world.
Our 5-day retreats or longer journeys, cater to individuals seeking respite from city burnout and yearning to reconnect with their inner wisdom and re-educate themselves. Our participants can select options from a variety of activities, retreats and educational courses and build their own custom journey. Guided by renowned teachers, in such a context, MITIR offers a transformative experience unlike any other.
We believe that a healthy society begins with individuals who are holistically educated, balanced, grounded, and in tune with nature.
The School
Our current mainstream education system is outdated and has not evolved enough in order to align with a more rounded and holistic approach to learning. More and more parents are starting to demand better models of education for their children. In the meantime, as remote working has become very common, parents are looking for communities where they can work, with high quality of life, where in the same time they can educate their children.
In general, alternative schools have more comprehensive educational and developmental objectives than conventional schools. They often have curriculum elements that focus on improving student self-esteem , fostering growth of individuality, and enhancing social skills. Alternative schools are more flexible in their organization and administration, which allows for more variety in educational programs.
Our vision is to create a school that can combine both mainstream and alternative education, so the children can experience the true meaning of pedagogy (the ancient greek holistic approach to teaching and learning) in a natural and safe environment.

Artistic activities can have many benefits, including: Improved mental health, Increased cognitive function, enhanced social connection, Increased self-awareness.
Creativity has the ability to generate new and original ideas, and to use imagination and innovation to solve problems and create something new. It is a fundamental aspect of human cognition and is essential for personal growth, social and emotional well-being, and cultural and economic development. Arts is the vehicle of our soul's authentic expression and deeper connection with each other but also with the spiritual forces of existence.
